BodySense Beauty Treatments has been awarded a Silver Salon accolade in Matis Paris’ 2021 digital awards.
Rosa Scialo, the founder and owner of BodySense Beauty Treatments says: “Oh my goodness, where to begin? I was shocked and stunned, not expecting to win at all. Delighted and very much appreciated it though. It made me feel proud of being part of the Matis family and all my efforts were rewarded. It’s been a tough year for all of us in this industry, but we stuck with it and didn’t give up.”
‘Exceptional product knowledge and expertise’
Matis Paris’ first digital awards ceremony was held back in January 2021 in a bid to celebrate the success and achievements of all UK-based Matis therapists, spa and salon owners during a challenging year for the beauty industry. While this year’s accolades took place at the end of January.
Nicola Fisher, award judge and founder and owner of French Beauty Expert, said: “We are immensely proud of all our spas and salons for surviving the Covid-19 crisis and we hope that moving forward BodySense Beauty Treatments will continue to grow and offer exceptional product knowledge and expertise in the coming year. Rosa went out of her way in lockdown to genuinely knuckle down and spend her time wisely learning and expanding on her knowledge.”
Continued professional learning
Continued professional development (CPD) was just one of the areas in which Rosa excelled in and one reason why she won her silver salon award.
Since 2021, Rosa has taken on a number of in-depth courses to enable her to offer three new treatments, along with keeping up her wide range of beauty services.
Rosa tells us: “Apparently when in-house training was up for offer, I was the first one to put my name down. I took on a Panacee Dermophyte, Radio Frequency and the popular TCA Peels. At my age and after more than 30 years in the industry I thought my training days in the new equipment and treatments were done. However it’s all about renewing your skills and keeping up to date in an ever evolving world. I’m so glad I used the lockdown time wisely and put it to good use, if anything it’s inspired me and given me an appetite to do some more.”
Beauty treatments
Along with the extensive training, Matis Paris judges also based the Silver Salon award on a salon’s performance and the amount of services it offers.
At present, Rosa offers just shy of 50 treatments. From Luxury Skin Solutions that can plump, correct and energise to Advanced Aesthetics, Dermatherm Radio Frequency offerings and Eye Treatments.
